WHAT IS ALL THIS FUSS ABOUT “FAITH”?

The test of Faith

Faith – what is all this fuss about “faith”? The Bible says “And without faith, it is impossible to please God.” (Hebrews 11:6) What I have found is that without faith, I haven’t got a prayer. This site is all about faith – faith in God, faith in ourselves, and faith in others. It is also about doubt and how doubting God, doubting ourselves, doubting others can impact our lives in ways that might be hazardous to our health and well-being.

“AND WITHOUT FAITH, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD, BECAUSE ANYONE WHO COMES TO HIM MUST BELIEVE THAT HE EXISTS AND THAT HE REWARDS THOSE WHO EARNESTLY SEEK HIM.” (Hebrews11:6) LEARNING ABOUT THIS THING CALLED FAITH

It took years and years for me to learn about this thing called faith. And moreover, about the lack of it. After many, many years of massive mistakes and all the pain I’ve brought unnecessarily on myself and the people I love and care about, I hereby consider myself almost an authority on this subject! For this reason, I thought I would share my knowledge with others who can’t figure out the why’s and why nots‘ about important things that are happening in everyday lives.

FAITH IS FOR EVERY ONE OF US

The Soldiers from 3rd Platoon, 62nd Engineer Company, 4th Engineer Battalion pray before a mission. Although not all of the Soldiers are religious, they all join in to be a part of the circle and pray before every mission.

Nah, I’m not that creative. ๐Ÿ™‚ Like I said above, it took me years. Years of reading the Bible before any of it made sense to me. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for sticking to it no matter how much I resented learning about the error of my ways.

Indeed, faith is for every one of us. So if you find you could use some help on the subject of faith (or lack of) without feeling like you need to see a shrink, a psychologist, a priest, or any type of head doctor, I recommend you stick around and see if you can’t learn a thing or two about activating the faith you already have but don’t know you possess. Of course, I will be talking about what the Bible says. You can’t possibly think I would conjure all this up all by myself, would you? ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, I found out the hard way about pride and arrogance and self-righteous pontification. I found out that none of it mattered especially if I made myself miserable in the process. See, I told you I’ve become a pro at faith. Not only that but simply learning to trust God has made my life more bearable, made me more tolerant of myself and others, more content. I’ve learned about the awesome side effects of knowing who God is and what I am to Him. Yes, it truly feels great to know this profound truth.
